Hi Roger, you sound like the young constable at the scene of a crime telling people “Nothing to see here folks, move right along, move right along, nothing to see here”. But there always is more to see so I suspect you’re being economical with the truth.

Are we sure the Bill doesn't engage with the Treaty? It's pretty big on property rights, which are a pretty big part of the Treaty. If there was a future government taking affecting Māori property rights (think Foreshore and Seabed law), why wouldn't the Regulatory Standards Bill be seen to discourage that in the way it discourages other takings?
